I’m an Algorithm Engineer by day and Thing Maker by night. What things might a Thing Maker make? Well that is why I made this website. While I am very good at my job my skills expand vastly beyond what I do day to day. At university, when I wasn’t at lectures, and sometimes when I should have been, a lot of my spare time was spent at the Nottingham Hackspace, learning programming, electronics and talking to the swathes of incredibly intelligent people that roam the halls. It was there I caught the bug. With so many driven, smart and capable people around you making stuff simply for the joy of it, I defy anyone not to catch it a little. Primarily it was these seemingly insignificant projects that landed me my first job in tech. So true to form I learned ‘how’, then developed this website from scratch then hosted it on my home server to continue to showcase what I’m capable of doing and hopefully inspire others to experience the joy of creating with their own two hands.
